ROSE Awards to Honor Tourism Support
Great visits don’t just happen; it takes a lot of hard work from employees in tourism and hospitality. Now, the Boise Convention & Visitors Bureau has brought to our community the Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Awards Celebration. The ROSE awards will recognize those individuals who enhance visitor experiences with enthusiasm and exemplary service. Nominations for the ROSE Awards closed Friday, Feb. 10. “The Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau’s works year-round to promote travel and tourism to the Boise area,” said Boise CVB executive director Carrie Westergard. “These efforts would be wasted without the exemplary service provided by the local employees in hospitality and service. We encourage all community members to nominate their distinguished colleagues and participate in the celebration.” The Boise CVB will announce finalists on March 15, with the ROSE Awards Celebration taking place on April 3rd at Century Link Arena. It’s Treefort Time
One of the surest signs of spring in Boise is the annual Treefort Festival. Now in its fifth year, the multi-day music and culture happening continues to draw crowds and amazing bands to numerous stages around Boise. This year’s event grew to 411 bands who will perform during four days of music starting March 22. The festival will also, per usual, host a variety of other “forts” that provide something for everyone, including Hackfort, Yogafort and Storyfort, to name a few. Get your tickets and travel arrangements now because Boise does get booked up. Go to www.treefortmusicfest.com for more.
